MACE’s approach to meeting the
housing
needs of low-income residents of the Delta is through a multi-faceted
approach. MACE offers unique homeowner training for
individuals who can purchase a home within 6 - 12 months or
longer. Homeowner training is offered in the areas of
pre-purchase education and counseling, post purchase education, and
financial literacy.
The training and counseling
component consists of three separate
distinct but inter-related tiers or tracks. The tiered or track
system will allow anyone to enter the program who has potential of
becoming a homeowner within a three year period. The approach
employs three distinct training curriculums. This unique and
innovative program is of longer duration but will serve the population
that would not otherwise participate in the American dream.
Affordable rental units are
provided to individuals whose socio-economic conditions create barriers
to becoming homeowners.
MACE has over 300 units of multi-family housing units that provides
safe, decent and affordable housing for the handicapped, seniors and
low-income families.
