Cultural Arts Program

The Cultural Arts Division
oversees and manages all of the activities and operations of MACE's
Cultural efforts. This Division is charged with implementing the
objectives of the MACE Delta Arts Projects, i.e., Delta Blues and
Heritage Festival, Blues ‘n Schools and the International Blues Film
Festival. The Cultural Arts Division is responsible for designing,
developing and implementing an ongoing cultural and communityrelations
program consistent with the central mission of MACE to support
capacity-building and entrepreneurial efforts in Mississippi Delta
communities.
The goal of the Cultural Arts Division is to implement cultural programming that serves to empower African Americans and disadvantaged citizens, within the Mississippi Delta region. Our intent is to develop projects that are relevant to the educational capacities, of people in the Mississippi Delta region that will effect positive social, artistic and economic change that improves the lives and communities of the various stakeholders. |
